Dried flowers & cake –

Lately I worked on a new design which I had been longing to try. Once again I was lucky to have the customer leave it entirely up to me. It was a birthday celebration, so after discussing colours, I thought it was the perfect occasion to go ahead and use dried flowers to decorate.

Recently I put up a post about fresh flowers on cakes. Dried flowers are just as beautiful. They’re easier to apply because they don’t need to be purchased and placed at the last minute and there’s a variety of styles and stems that can be used. A combination of both dried and fresh is one to try next.

I look forward to more occasions where I can apply these dried blooms, so stay tuned for more designs.
